Maplebriar ROD Moana

Moana is from my "M" line. This has always been an experimental line for me. The original doe that started this line was a 3/4 alpine, 1/4 Oberhasli doe that DID NOT like children. Every one of the does from this line had the same personality. They were very sweet to everyone except the children. Then they wanted to bite! However, Moana and her offspring have changed that by adding the Saanen bloodlines. This line is my favorite for its consistent deep body capacity, hardiness, and ability to maintain healthy body condition on browse and pasture during the summer, along with excellent hand-milking-sized teats. I have used bucks to try and develop what I want to improve, disregarding the breed. Moana has a very smooth fore-udder, wide rear udder arch, and long, easy hand-milking teats.
